Strategic Projects Manager (Agile Finance) being hired for global FMCG business!

£90,000 - £110,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

I am supporting the Regional Finance Director of a multinational consumer business to hire the leader of a newly created team responsible for participating in and leading projects that span a number of functions within the business with stakeholders ranging from teams in local markets to global leaders. The role will be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of the digital enablers, consolidating recommendations, recommending changes that drive value and ensuring they are deployed with excellence.

This role is well suited to candidates from a strategy consulting background or a commercial Finance professional with extensive commercial, modelling and cross functional business partnering experience in a large corporate, ideally within the consumer goods industry.

  • Experience of working for a large global company, ideally within consumer goods
  • Strong analytical and business partnering experience
  • Ability to deliver and achieve through others
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
  • This role will need to contract with regional and global leadership stakeholders to assess opportunity and risk areas across the region on which to focus the team to maximise value creation and protection.
  • The focus will be applied to projects on a prioritised basis as they arise, and these may be worked independently as part of a cross functional team or with external consultants, these could include areas such as: Business restructuring; P&L reset end to end; Deep dive of strategic roadmaps; Working on portfolio simplification
  • Support the regional and global Strategic Reinvention Office on both the implementation and tracking of inflight projects as well as supporting the development of future projects
  • Support the annual big rock process, ensuring that targets set are cascaded to relevant stakeholders and that there is sufficient governance, tracking and overall program delivery
  • Drive the continuous improvement of digital tools, by consolidating improvement requests across the region, creating change recommendations, and supporting their delivery
