Kirkwood Consulting is looking for an experienced construction accredited trainer to join our team on a freelance basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing company that is passionate and enthusiastic about training and development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality training and assessments to a wide range of construction professionals across the Southeast.

The Role

To deliver varied courses including Level 1 Health and Safety in the Construction Industry, CITB CSCS Test preparation Seminars and Health and Safety Awareness (HSA). Delivery of our courses are online; however, they may be some instances in which part of the course delivery will be in our client's premises.

About You

All applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to engage with colleagues, clients and learners with varied levels of skills, experience and knowledge, reliability and good organisational skills is essential, the successful applicant will be an integral part of the existing team.

Applicants must hold at least one of the following qualifications:

* NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health.

* NVQ/SVQ Level 4 in Occupational Safety and Health (or higher).

* Civil Engineering, Construction or Health and Safety degree is desirable but not essential.

* NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Part 2, NEBOSH Units A, B, C and D.

* Diploma Safety Management Level 5.

As well as one of the above qualifications where applicable, trainers must also have the following:

* A formal training qualification, equivalent to a Level 3 Award in education and training (AET) or Level 4 Certficate of teaching in the lifelong sector (CTLLS).

* Current experience of working on site or teaching construction skills within the FE sector.

Personal attributes and qualities

* Good organisational and administrative skills

* The ability to contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* An excellent work ethic with the ability to work under pressure.

* Experience of teaching online using Teams or Google classroom/meet is desirable but not essential.

* Training will be online; however, they may be instances in which some face-to-face training will be required.

Job Types: Full-Time, Freelance

Salary: £250.00 - £350.00 per day
