Role Purpose:
  • Manage, maintain and improve PLC based control systems.
  • Provide backup to the on shift technicians and be an open source of technical knowledge.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Role Purpose:
  • To ensure customers pay on time and in full, ensure customer credit limits are up to date, and customers always stay within their given credit limit. Provide support to the Credit Manager to ensure all targets and deadlines are met.

Responsibilities include:
  • Minimise losses to Hydro through effective risk management of a portfolio of large, medium, and small corporate and business partner accounts as well as complete credit reviews using detailed financial statement analysis, credit bureau reports, sector analysis, and other third-party information Underwrite credit limits and manage customer accounts within the confines of the Hydro Credit Policy By:
  • Collecting payments from customers to agreed terms
  • Proactively contacting customers to ensure prompt payments
  • Produce monthly statements and dunning letters
  • Dealing with customer queries and establishing good working relations
  • Setting up New Accounts
  • Review customer credit limits
  • Delegated control of legal cases
  • Delegated control of Insolvency cases
  • Provide cover for the Sales ledger Administrator for cash posting and allocating.
  • Provide cover for the Credit Manager on month end reporting.
  • The role will also include being involved in operational improvements and streamlining opportunities, improving technology, and be involved in projects, whilst maintaining a high level of consistency with Hydro standards. This will involve assisting with the sales ledger side of the planned implementation of a new ERP system across all sites.

Travel to other Hydro Sites and Customer Visits may also be required.
  • Develop an understanding of job content, systems, and operational procedures of other areas of the Hydro family and their teams building cross department relationships and co-operation.
  • Support and provide cover for the Credit Manager when required taking responsibility for the Credit Control Team in her absence.
  • Maintain an effective relationship with 'internal' and 'external' customers
  • Knowledge of business goals and objectives
  • Housekeeping standards (5S)
  • Awareness of health and safety requirements and adherence to policy
  • Pragmatic approach to environment changes
  • Ability to work as part of a team


Work Experience:
  • Mminimum of years' experience of credit analysis and debt collection
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior credit role
  • Experience of Team leadership an advantage


Education:
  • Higher level education or minimum 10 years' experience in Credit Control
  • Strong Credit Analysis skills
  • Good negotiating skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Good Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Can produce concise data to tight schedules
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Good organisational skills
  • ERP system methodology understanding
