Are you an experienced Resource Manager with experience working within the rail sector? Would you like to join a rapidly growing business that is crucial to keeping our railways safe and functioning?

The Civils & Infrastructure Division of Ford & Stanley are working with one of the leading rail-based civil engineering consultancies in the UK, to find a Resource Planning Manager to join their ever-growing Structural Examinations business unit.

This person will be key to the continued high performance and growth of the examinations team and ensuring that programmes of work are delivered safely and competently. This candidate will effectively be the glue that holds the Examinations Team together and will be responsible for keeping that cohesion as the business grows to new heights!

Location: Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire.


£(phone number removed) per annum (Dependent on experience)
26 days holiday + bank holidays per year, rising with time served
The option to buy up to 5 days of additional leave
Competitive pension, rising to 7% with time served
Flexible working hours and location.
Role and Responsibilities:

Assisting in the management and development of the Examinations team members, from trainee level upwards.
Ensure that all works are undertaken safely, in line with Network Rail standards.
Drive, monitor, and analyse overall contract performance with regards to delivery functions
Monitoring of welfare and the development of junior team members,
Undertake short notice changes to planned works, ensuring resource is in place and teams are fully briefed
Maintain collaborative working relationships with the client, internal teams, subcontractors, and your direct reports

Candidate Requirements:

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable role previously. Candidates from a rail background are preferable.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, managerial, and motivational skills.
Candidates must have experience managing large and diverse groups of people, both from a cultural perspective and a multi-disciplinary perspective
Candidates must have experience operating within a safety-critical environment.
