Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Salford, Greater Manchester
Start date: September 2022- July 2023
Salary: £350-£400 per week
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
We are looking for a qualified teaching assistant for a role within an average sized two-form entry Primary School in Salford, Greater Manchester that "Requires Improvement" after being rated as good and outstanding for 15+ years.
You will be responsible for:
Working closely with the pupils, sometimes in a 1:1 basis
Assist the class teacher in preparing lesson materials and equipment
Provide insight into the progression of the pupils
Helping the pupils remain focused in class
Helping the teacher to manage pupil behaviour
Help to get the classroom ready for when the pupils arrive and clearing away afterwards
The ideal candidate is somebody who is eager to make a difference in a child's academic progression and in turn, in their personal progression. The successful candidate will be somebody who is also:
Able to communicate effectively
A qualified teaching assistant
Experienced at working with children in key stage 1

The school is in M27, Manchester and is currently rated 'good' by Ofsted. There are currently approximately 200 pupils enrolled at the school.
Pupils at the school always feel safe.
Many of the teachers who are new to the school have recently been entrusted with implementing the new curriculum plans.
English, science and maths are some of the strongest subjects at the school
