This G15 Housing Association is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner for 2-3 month based 1 day per week in London and the rest from home

Main purpose of the role

Sitting as a senior member of the Business Partnering Team, the Senior Business Partner is 'face of finance' to the operations team providing timely, robust and insightful financial information and commentaries to boards, directors and budget holders. The Senior Business Partner is required to be a strategic advisor to the business, presenting financial and management information to the budget holder to help support, challenge and evaluate decisions, with the aim of improving the financial and operational performance of the unit and driving value for money.

Key responsibilities
  • To contribute to a high performing business partnering function that is forward looking, adding value and is a proven strategic partner to the organisation.
  • To present timely, relevant and robust financial and management information to directors and budget holders in your area.
  • To continuously innovate, improve and develop the reporting framework to provide insight and meaningful information that meets the expectations and requirements of Executive Directors, Directors and budget holders.
  • To lead on financial matters; challenge and influence decision making; improve the understanding of business performance; monitor delivery of unit strategy; deliver analysis and insight on business opportunities - providing options and scenarios for business decisions.
  • To maintain close and effective working relationships with other finance teams including: performance & analysis (management accounts), business partnering, financial planning, development finance, treasury and financial services.
  • Other duties which are broadly consistent with the job description and level of position.

Experience and pre-qualification criteria
  • A CCAB or equivalent qualified accountant with a strong track record in management accounting and reporting.
  • Significant experience in Business partnering and providing value for money (VFM).
  • Financial and commercial acumen and leadership when undertaking financial reviews and assessments; applying judgement and providing direction on outcomes.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
