We are delighted to be supporting a charity, to appoint a Finance Assistant on a temporary basis starting ASAP. This is a fully remote role, where the incoming Finance Assistant will support the accounts team with year-end for one-month initially.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Ensure purchase invoices are received by accounts in a timely manner
Check uploads provided to outsourced provider reconcile to Xero accounts
Ensure credit cards are coded and uploaded
Check fortnightly payments runs.
Identify items for fixed asset register and monitor schedules
Source and provide remittance advices to outsourced accounts provider
Reconcile bank items on Xero
To assist with creating and check monthly fee invoice schedules for importing into the Xero sales ledger
Reconciliation of donation income, between Xero and the donations database
With support from Finance Co-Ordinator use XERO reports to produce accounts summary on excel.
Run individual XERO P&L reports for each department.
Report narrative and distribution.
Manage incoming queries into the accounts inbox, invoice queries etc. and respond to
Provide financial data support to Administrators and Community Managers when required.
Ability to identify monthly adjustments needed in the accounts.
Check accruals and prepayments and post adjustments as needed.
Support payroll reconciliations.
Ensure Petty cash accounts transactions are received and updated
To provide bespoke financial reports to other stakeholders as required i.e. bank
To assist Head of Finance and Finance Co-Ordinator with year-end accounts reconciliations
Working knowledge of XERO
Experience of internal and external stakeholder engagement
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
