Payroll Administrator (Full or Part Time) | Shrewsbury Area | Permanent Opportunity | up to £25,000

The Company
Seymour John have been exclusively engaged by a stable SME business, who can offer a secure opportunity for an experienced Payroll candidate within their busy finance team on either a full or part-time basis.
The Opportunity
Whilst payroll will be the main focus of this role, you will also be responsible for managing the cost process for agency labour, with your main responsibilities will include:
* Process monthly payroll for two business for circa 120 employees and ensure payments are accurate and in line with hours worked
* Maintain payroll system and records by gathering, calculating, challenging and inputting data
* Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes using Sage Payroll
* Answer staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records
* Handle changes in exemptions, job status, wages/salaries and tax codes
* Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant law
* Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
* Process RTI submissions to HMRC on a timely basis
* Process monthly PAYE returns and payments to HMRC
* Manage the agency labour process ranging from 10-50 temporary weekly paid staff
* Resolve agency labour invoice queries in a timely manner
* Other adhoc finance administration tasks depending on whether this is full or part time position
Personal Profile
We are looking for a candidate that offer prior experience of managing a similar sized payroll from start to finish, coupled with a good understanding of general accounting. You will possess confident communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the business internally and externally on a daily basis. We would like to speak to candidates who have experience of Sage Payroll and have a meticulous eye for detail, who take a genuine pride in their work.
