The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant

I am working with a primary school based in Waltham forest that are looking for an SEN teaching assistant to join their established SEN department for a full time role, this September. The school are looking for a passionate and creative SEN Teaching Assistant to work alongside students with Special Educational Needs, more specifically, nonverbal Autism.

The role will require you to work directly with pupils in order to build effective rapport with them whilst developing their social skills and motivating them with their learning.

In order to be considered for this role it is essential, due to the individual needs of the students, for the ideal candidate to have experience working with children or young people who have special needs such as ASD.

SEN School - SEN Teaching Assistant

Based in Waltham forest, this is a vibrant, mainstream primary school with an outstanding SEND department that caters to students up to KS2.

The staff firmly believe that a child's history does not determine their future and that each student should have access to equal opportunity. The school also take great pride in the relationships built between staff, students and parent/carers.

As well as having been rated 'good' in their most recent ofsted rating the school also offer onsite parking and great transport links accessible to all members of staff.
