Project Manager (Defence)

We have exciting opportunities for talented Project Managers (on a contract basis operating inside IR35).

Successful candidates will be based at our Defence client site in Abbey Wood (Filton) with options to work from home 2 days per week and will be working in departments such as Land, Submarine Delivery Agency, Air Support, Joint Enablers and Ships.

The daily rate will be between £340 and £361 depending on the level of the role.

The initial contract period would be 6-12 months with high potential to extend. The roles offer flexible hours (40 hours a week).

ROLE OUTLINE

As a Project Manager, responsibilities will include:

* Supporting and shaping client project delivery through suitable planning, monitoring, controlling and performance reporting

* Identifying risk and remedial actions

* Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and management processes

* Ensuring client business needs are met by specifying the programme/projects

* Leading and championing the application of suitable programme and project delivery strategies

* Conducting background research, data collection and benchmarking

* Establishing effective processes and systems to be used throughout a project

* Promoting positive working relationships with different stakeholders

* Preparing materials for projects and reports on progress, etc

The successful candidate will::

* Hold valid security clearance (SC) to work on site (essential)

* Hold a UK passport

* Have strong knowledge of the defence industry

* Be an expert in the P3M practices

* Ideally a PRINCE2 Practitioner

* Ideally APMP - Certified Project Management Associate

* Ideally a Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM)

* Have a track record of successful project delivery
