1st Line Support Engineer



My client is seeking a 1st Line Support Engineer to join their service desk team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience is a similar role and will be looking to develop their IT support career with opportunities to become a 2nd Line support engineer and beyond.

1st/2nd Line Support Engineer Responsibilities:

* Assisting on the service desk offering both 1st line support, performing fixes where possible

* Supporting various projects

* Dealing with contracted customers via phone, email and via Web Chat in a timely

* Raising High Priority incidents as and when they occur and professional manner to strict service level arrangements

* Ability to research ideas and concepts in order to source suitable technical solutions or resolve problems

* 'Hands-on' problem-solving approach; solving problems within strict SLA timeframes

* On occasion provide on-site support for customers as and when required

* Delivering exceptional customer service and demonstrating the ability and desire to go 'above and beyond' for our customers.

* Escalate any issues to the 2nd Line support team

* Excellent communication abilities

* Good customer-service skills

* Work within KPI's and SLA's

Skills and experiences required:

* Experience supporting Microsoft servers 2003 - 2016.

* Microsoft Windows 10 troubleshooting and experience

* O365 and its complimentary addons (OneDrive & Teams)

* Active Directory administration (user creation, permissions)

* Antivirus (particularly ESET & Sophos)

* Printer troubleshooting

* Previous project work at an MSP

* Experience working with Microsoft products, Office 365, Active directory amongst others

* Exposure to fire walls
