Description

Key responsibilities for the interim procurement specialist:

Liaise and discuss in detail procurement issues with internal and external stakeholders
Build strong working relationships with all stakeholders across all disciplines and cooperate with understanding to deliver high value service with full support.
Work collectively with wider divisional teams to identify commercial, tender and saving opportunities and manage effectively in a timely manner
Proactively advise team members and stakeholders on relevant regulations, legislation's and promote a professional procurement approach
Responsible for carrying out detailed high valued procurement requirements and develop evaluation methods
Ensure all areas of spend are analysed in order to identify where cost savings can be used in conjunction with key stakeholders
Seek and implement opportunities for significant direct and indirect savings proactively through contracting and negotiation
Planning, development and implementation of procurement strategy, ensuring that the area of work is carried out effectively
Identify local opportunities which may have boarder strategic potential and oversees region-wide projects when implemented successfully
Manage and coordinate all strategic and tactical sourcing projects from initial scoping through to contract award Profile

The successful procurement specialist must:

Have related category experience with transferable skills and experience, ideally within HR or professional services
Experience working within the NHS or Public sector
Excellent customer and supplier engagement and communication skills
The ability to liaise and communicate well with stakeholders at all levels
Experience in technical procurement with experience in running and supporting procurement activities such as full tenders
Contract and supplier performance management experience
Excellent IT skills using Excel, PowerPoint, Word and TeamsJob Offer
