Design Engineer - Aerospace / Defence / NX

Initially 3 Months

£300-340 per day OUTSIDE IR35

Remote Working with a few trips to HQ in Bristol per month

Unify are a proud, exclusive partner to a UK aerospace start-up, who are establishing a game-changing, cutting-edge digital approach to modern jet design.

We are urgently looking to source a Design Engineer to join the Team on a Contract basis for initially 3 months.

Ideally you'll be well versed in NX, and have experience in whole aircraft design OR general aerospace/defence.

The role:The company design process utilises cutting edge CFD and digital design methods. A General Design Engineer is required to oversee and manage the CAD models of the aircraft. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Engineering Team and be responsible for preparing CAD models for analysis, support analysis such as CFD and support engineering's requirements compliance.

Objectives:To work with the Senior Engineering Team to manage incoming CAD & STEP filesWorking with businesses partner organisations to clean STEP files for computational analysisProvide general design support to the businesses Engineering ProgrammeProduce reports, visual models and other necessary supporting outputs for Design Reviews Interpret and use test data and analysis

Deliverables:Management and cleaning of incoming STEP filesProduction of supporting information for Design ReviewsCompiling CAD files and digital models from the businesses Partners

Experience required:

2+ years CAD experience with a widely used CAD software i.e., NX (Essential)

Experience of operating in the Aerospace or Defence environment (Essential)
