We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Compliance Engineer at our Ipswich site. Reporting to the site Quality Manager, this role is responsible for driving quality improvements throughout the business processes working closely with the Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Sales departments in order to optimise business performance and Customer satisfaction, while maintaining ISO9001:2015 certification.

Principle responsibilities include:

  • Ensure continuing compliance of the required product ranges through maintenance and delivery of external product approvals and applications (PED and WRAS).
  • Support supply chain, engineering and manufacturing with product specifications when product and process changes are proposed.
  • Provide specialist PED (PESR) and WRAS support for applicable product ranges both internally and externally.
  • Development of PED and WRAS related test plans.
  • Maintaining product approvals i.e. Kitemark / UL / Buildcert and the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) approvals.
  • Producing Purchased Material Specifications / Technical Specifications in conjunction with the Engineering Department, Supply Chain and Product Management.


Skills, experience and training:


  • Understanding of the 'Pressure Equipment Directive' (PED) and water industry approvals (WRAS)
  • Ability to read Engineering Drawings.
  • An understanding of material specifications.
  • Experience in applying a structured approach to problem solving (8D), and the use of quality tools to identify root causes and effective CAPA.
  • An understanding of ISO 9001
  • Experience with external approval bodies including WRAS and Kitemark


Applicants for this role will be able to demonstrate experience of managing their own work load and task management with balancing of performance, risk, and time to ensure project deliverables. The ability to work to tight deadlines, strong levels of attention to detail combined with good levels of resilience and the ability to influence others to get results are key to success in this role.
