Remote Finance OfficerOccasional travel to Hatfield when needed£13.44 per hourFull Time6 - 12 monthsTate are actively recruiting for a Finance Officer to join our large Public Sector Client within their Senior Management Team.

The purpose of this role is to provide strategic support to the senior management team providing financial planning and analysis to assist with the development of their service. You will plan and develop business focused services to analyse and monitor financial information for internal and external reporting.

Main Areas of Responsibility:· To focus on the needs of the customer and contribute to the provision of timely and business focussed financial advice to budget managers, including the four key financial processes of budgeting, monitoring, preparation of final accounts and medium-term financial forecasting.· To promote best financial practice and compliance with the relevant accounting, statutory, external grant funding · To contribute to the development of strategies· To facilitate the production of financial management information to meet the needs of the managers and to make use of a wide range of systems information in order to provide financial advice to budget managers.· To contribute to developing a partnership approach to working with other organisations, auditors and other relevant funding bodies to enable the service to manage its finances effectively and efficiently.

Skills required:· Financial Analysis· Experience using SAP or any other Management system· Data analysis (excel) skills· AAT qualified, a part qualified CCAB or CIPFA accountant.· Ability to build effective relationships at all levels with both internal and external customers creating trust and confidence. · Ability to interpret, apply and explain technical policies, procedures, guidance and legislation.· Ability to analyse and propose workable solutions to problems and explain complex technical information (including financial risk) to internal and external customers, including the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate required outcomes.· Ability to work independently, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of the team and with third party providers.
