Reed Accountancy are currently working in partnership with a well-established and market leading business located in Knowsley who are now looking to recruit a temporary Payroll Clerk for their busy finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties of the role include:
  • Processing end to end weekly payrolls
  • Systemising and processing information from the Time & Attendance system
  • Liaising with depot service administrators to correct any errors and deal with any wage queries
  • Providing cover as required for monthly payroll
  • Checking payslips for accuracy of hour's rates and distributing accordingly
  • Balancing and processing RTI submissions for each payroll
  • Processing pension Auto Enrolment and Company pension documents as necessary
  • Calculating and processing tax and benefits, and allocation of all statutory payments including, SSP SPP and SMP
  • Processing year end process, production of P60, P11d, and PSA
  • Liaising with HMRC accordingly

To be considered for the role, our client is looking for candidates with the following experience:
  • Previous experience of working within a payroll position
  • Experience of using Payroll systems
  • Have excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Be able to work well under pressure and on their own initiative as well as part of a larger team
