Project Manager (Telecoms)Remote (Very occasional travel to site in Manchester)£550- 600 per day (Inside IR35)NPPV3 Clearance or SC highly desirable
A Project Manager is required for our telecoms client who are working on behalf of a public sector organisation.
The role is remote based role with occasional travel to site as part of induction
Purpose of role/experience required-Must have a thorough knowledge of Cisco design and configuration and it would be desirable if they had an understanding of Avaya LAN technology.Needs to work with the existing TDA's to:• Design the configurations for Branch location switches to facilitate the migration from Avaya to Cisco switches.• Work with the onsite engineers to manage the migration from Avaya to Cisco switches.• Make sure that all new Switches have replicated the port configuration of the old switches.• Bring the new switches into service.• Update all the design documentationNeeds to support the current Datacentre TDA to design network connectivity for any projects that interfaces to the Data centres:Current requirements:For the GaaP project (Government as a platform - Avaya)• IP address scheme for the Avaya Voice components that will be deployed on client locations.• Allocate ports for the onsite Avaya Voice components.• Router configs for the new IP Connect secure plus circuits• Commission the routers and bring them into service in consultation with the field engineers.• Integrate the proposed Fortinet Firewalls and switches (delivered by client security) into the Datacentre architecture.• Configure the 3rd Choice Tertiary SIP connectivity to FHQ• Update all records and diagrams.• Design IP address scheme, port allocation and routing for any of the Nice Physical or virtual machines that are due to be deployed for the Nice Upgrade project.• Update all records and diagrams.• Design the new LAN core• Prove continuity across the pairs of resilient circuits• Work with the field engineers to bring the new LAN architecture• Commission the new Switches and bring them into management.• Update all records and diagrams
