Key Stage 1 Class Teacher
The Head Teacher and Governors of an Ofsted graded 'Good' primary school in central Blackburn are in the process of recruiting for a fully qualified Primary Teacher for the 2022-23 academic year. The successful candidate will be teaching the school's mixed Year 1/2 class (18 pupils) on a full-time basis.

- Based in the centre of Blackburn city; therefore, excellent public transport links available
- Ofsted graded 'Good' primary school due to the effective improvements achieved since the previous inspection, as well as the positive relationships established between staff and pupils that promote pupils' self confidence and contributes to their good progress
- The proportion of pupils identified to be 'disadvantaged' is above the national average.
- Above-average proportion of pupils with SEND

About the Role:
- Full-time Y1/2 Class Teacher post
- Mixed class of 18 pupils - high levels of SEND in comparison to other classes across the school
- Start date: 5th September 2022
- Initially temporary position for 1 academic year; however, depending on staffing in September 2023, there may be a future role available
- Full Class Teacher responsibilities apply
Applicant Requirements:
- Fully qualified and Early Years/Primary trained - NQT/ECT year/s MUST be successfully completed
- Full-time availability from September 2023 for the entire academic year
- Prior experience (6 months+) in EYFS and/or KS1
- Good knowledge of SEND and strategies for managing specific needs
- Excellent knowledge and practice in Phonics
- Key Stage 1 SATs experience - beneficial to the role but not essential
- Child Workforce DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Sufficient references provided by your most recent employers
