JOB TITLE: E-Commerce Manager

LOCATION: Oakham

SALARY: £35,000

HOURS: 37 PW including hybrid

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our client is on the lookout for an E- Commerce Manager to join a fast growing and already well established business based in Oakham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a diverse and fast paced environment to highlight your excellent communication and language skills.

Role Overview: As Ecommerce Manager, you will be responsible for making sure the presentation and accuracy of our websites is second-to-none, across our entire portfolio of brand websites. You will use your excellent analytical skills to understand user behaviour and customer experience in order to deliver improvements to performance and conversion rates.

Reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing (HofD), you will manage the Ecommerce Executives and work closely with internal teams ensuring all products are loaded and presented appropriately on each website in time for new seasons and sale periods. You will have an eye for functional ease-of-use and merchandising best practice, ensuring that the look and feel of the websites are consistent, and significantly that we are recording customer behaviour and gathering crucial customer data at every step.

You will control the day-to-day performance and direction of our brand websites, assisting the brand teams in planning content to grow our direct-to-consumer channel. You understand the relationship between on-site experience and data insight, to test and refine changes in UX and design, optimising at every step and directing the wider team on best practice.

Your main responsibilities:

To lead the consumer experience team in ensuring an incredible experience for our consumers on all of our sites.

*

To maximise conversion and uphold impeccable brand standards across all sites. With the support of the Ecommerce Executives, ensuring the brand websites are merchandised to optimise conversion opportunities.

*

Overseeing and reporting to the team on sales trends, customer behaviours and insight to enable better onsite experiences.

*

Project manage any new website builds and front-end development. Brief front-end development changes and visual amends to agency/developers and monitor progress. Testing new and existing sites for bugs and user experience issues.

*

Managing the Ecommerce Executives, briefing tasks and overseeing content.

*

Website merchandising in cooperation with Head of Digital (HoD).

*

Create global marketing plans in cooperation with HoD, Marketing Managers and external stakeholders.

*

Oversee pricing changes for sale and other pricing changes throughout the year.

*

Create seasonal upload and campaign plans in cooperation with wider teams: Maintain and refresh site banners/tiles according to plan, keeping sites fresh and engaging.

*

Responsible for managing terms and conditions and static content, size guides and onsite product page content.

Essential skills/traits to demonstrate

*

Minimum of 3 years of Ecommerce experience in a retail environment.

*

Previous line management experience.You will be a strong leader - developing and inspiring your team to reach their goals.

*

Excellent organisational skills to ensure good time-management.

*

Excellent problem-solving capability.

*

Results driven performance and experience of analysing sales figures and website performance data to drive conversion rates and revenue.

*

Confidence to liaise with other departments and external partners to ensure tasks are actioned quickly and accurately.

*

Experience of working to marketing budgets.

*

Familiarity with key paid search networks, including Google Ads.Experience of sales attribution software, e.g. Google Analytics and of using a website content management system (preferably Magento).

*

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, concise and articulate.

*

You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Desirable skills/traits to demonstrate

*

Experience and understanding of working in the fashion industry and/or have an understanding of a fashion retail environment.

Experience of coordinating elements that contribute to a website build
