A busy, energetic software company need an experienced Implementation Consultant with 5 years + experience and strong finance / accounting & ERP skills, to be the Senior Finance Consultant in their team. Their future proofed ERP solution is leading the way in their specialist sector and demand is growing rapidly. The package to start with will be a base of up to £62,000 with a bonus and a £4,800 car allowance and private healthcare. Long term career prospects are excellent, and people tend to stay here.
You are someone who enjoys client facing work, taking the requirements, running workshops, doing analysis, configuring the software to fit, and managing the implementation and go-live. You will be working on new projects, plus upgrades and other consulting work.
The role would suit an Implementation Consultant with solid experience of finance and accounting solutions, and good functional consulting skills. The company is an ERP specialist with 2 UK offices; they are authors of their own mid-market ERP solution, cloud and on premise) that sells particularly well in the distribution, building and finance sectors.
They need an experienced Finance Consultant who can do ERP and accounting module implementations end to end, and is keen to learn a new mid-market product. You need to be able to talk to a client about their business requirements and particularly the finance aspects of the implementation, and be believable.
- Manage requirements gathering and analysis workshops, design, configuration and implementation of ERP & finance software
- Lead Consultant on finance implementation projects
- Preparing key scoping documentation, business requirement documents
- Work closely with accounting & finance teams to implement the ERP software suite including GL, AP, AR, budgeting, procurement and forecasting
- Software upgrades and new features training
- Supporting client UAT
- Go-Live support
Clients are scattered all over the UK, so travel to company sites plays a part in the role, but a huge amount of implementation is now being done remotely, so there is far less travelling than in the past. You will be based from home and probably go into head office a couple of times a month, although initially you will spend a fair amount of time in the office while you learn the ropes and learn the solution. Huntingdon is just a marker point. They are centrally located, just south of the Midlands.
As a company they look after their clients, they have a high-level service ethos, so you will be able to do a good job and get each implementation right (within reason), once you have enough product knowledge. This leads to the longer-term relationships and the repeat orders, so you will find over a period of years that you get to know the clients well and see them grow and change, partly as a result of your work.
