I am urgently seeking a Payroll Manager to join a key client of mine based in Epsom, surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience within payroll. You will be part of an ambitious and growing business and will be responsible for supporting the HR and Finance team. You will also look after the full payroll cycle, and therefore must have exceptionally good attention to detail.

As the payroll manager your responsibilities will include:
  • Processing monthly payrolls (approx. 500 employees - all within UK)- 100 bank staff
  • Processing SMP, SSP, TAX and NI
  • Good excel skills - pivot tables
  • Experience with a payroll system - Cascade (IRIS) would be advantage
  • Good payroll knowledge to answer any queries from employees
  • Following up daily input with the payroll in accordance with the procedure
  • Working to deadlines and working in a high-volume accounts department

Qualifications and experience required for this role:
  • At least 5 years' experience within a payroll department
  • Experience with a payroll system ideally a similar system to Cascade
  • Start to finish payroll experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding on statutory legislation

The role is initially available on a 6 month contract but for the right candidate this role could turn permanent. You will need to be based in the office in the first instance for training but after this initial period you can work on a hybrid basis.
