Assistant Manager/Financial Accountant - Real Estate. OUR CLIENT, is a successful, market leading alternative residential investment and development company focused on UK assets. The organisation have several new developments at different phases which are due to be completed by the end of 2022; this expansion has led to continual growth and they now require an Assistant Manager/Financial Accountant to join their London finance team.

THE ROLE will involve but not limited to:
  • Managing and supporting a team of 2 people that focus on AP/AR/Credit Control.
  • Preparing group reports monthly for each property asset with multiple subsidiaries to be then sent to the overseas Head Office for review.
  • Responsible for preparing management accounts to include Profit & Loss, balance sheets, budgets.
  • Preparing cashflow forecasts.
  • Overseeing month end processes and reconciliations, including general ledger maintenance, adherence to reporting timetable, balance sheet and development appraisal reconciliations, intercompany balances and posting journals.
  • Responsible for preparing VAT and CIS returns.
  • Overseeing the Accounts Payable function and monitoring the processing of large volumes of invoices monthly by the team.
  • Reviewing existing internal financial controls and processes and making recommendations on ways to improve them and then implementing those changes.
  • Working on various IT projects to include assisting with the new IT system implementation, testing and training.

THE PERSON: To apply, you MUST have experience working within a property/real estate company at a Team Leader/Managerial level and either be PQ/Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE with strong Financial Accountant experience as well as being 'hands on' with the day to day accounting processes. The successful candidate will have strong IT/System skills as they will be involved in various project management tasks as the company look to migrate to a new system and are continually looking to improve various financial processes as they grow.
