Science Teacher

EMG are looking to appoint a Science Teacher to join a large, mainstream secondary school based in Luton. This role is due to start in September 2022 on a long-term, full-time basis teaching KS3 and KS4.

About the role:

This role will include teaching KS3 and KS4 Science, following the National Curriculum.

In KS3, this includes biology, chemistry and physics topics, as well as "How Science Works" topics. You will prepare lessons of practical work to help students develop the skills needed to collect and interpret scientific data. Preparing students to make observations, predictions and develop problem solving skills in preparation for GCSE.

In KS4, students will begin studying GCSE Combined Science in Year 9. Learning essential aspects of the knowledge, methods, processes and uses of science and the key ideas which are fundamental to the understanding of science. You will teach a mixture of biology, chemistry and physics topics during the GCSE science course.

Essential Requirement for this role:

* QTS is essential for this post as is a DBS and a CV with a full 10-year work history with a minimum of two references.

* Candidates must be able to provide legal right to work in the UK to apply for this role.
