Our client is a leading renewable energy business that develops, owns and operates a large portfolio of grid-scale renewable energy assets across the UK.

They are looking to recruit an Associate Asset Manager to manage a number of onshore wind farm assets/ SPVs by ensuring best practice for HSEQ performance, whilst enhancing the overall returns and value of each project and complying with all of the applicable contractual agreements.

Working alongside the wind asset manager, you will assist with the management of day-to-day activities on their wind assets. This will involve working with contractors and subcontractors, the financial management team and other internal personnel to provide a solid asset management function across all assets.

Responsibilities

Assist with the management of SPV contracts.
Help ensure that all assets are in compliance with statutory requirements for HSEQ performance, local planning authority requirements, grid company connection conditions and power purchase agreements, reporting requirements under lenders facility agreements and other financial requirements.
Ensuring that everyone accessing and working across the wind farms have adequate site inductions and the necessary competencies.
Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled activities on wind sites.
Log H&S occurrences, champion improvements and actively manage project compliance with Health, Safety and Environment requirements.
Perform site inspections to ensure that activities are being completed safely and to a high standard as required by internal requirements, as well as checking the condition of the sites.
Follow good wind asset management practices.
Maintain management tools including Operating Plans, Asset Registers and other management tools as necessary.
Optimise project performance by monitoring contractor performance during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with a view to ensuring all contracted SLA's are met or bettered, following maintenance strategies and activities with a view to reducing down time, supervision of sub-contractors and/or overseeing the work of management contractors where required.
Identify equipment faults, carry out diagnoses and troubleshooting activities with support from the Monitoring Team. Escalate operations and performance issues to the wind asset manager as required.
Assist with the preparation of regular asset management reports on each asset.
Interaction with Landlords as and when required.
Daily liaison with the Monitoring & Performance Team.

Requirements

Engineering degree or equivalent.
At least 1-year experience in asset management activities.
Experience with remote monitoring systems on plant and equipment (preferably wind).
Interpretation of mechanical/electrical engineering drawings, work instructions and design reviews.
Advanced Excel Skills (macros, visual basic).
Full UK drivers' licence.Location: Bristol - hybrid/flexible working + occasional UK wide travel.
