Job brief

KBM is looking for an experienced AAT Tutor/Teacher. The ideal candidate should be able to teach all levels of AAT from level 1 to level 4 and will train students through high quality lessons as well as providing individual 1-2-1 sessions in the training center and workplace (face to face or online) to support and assess the development of their practice and skills. As a tutor your core time will be split between classroom-based lectures, online lectures & forums and student support & development. In addition, you will need to collaborate with the wider team in lesson planning and supporting learners through their studies. Experience and familiarity with digital skills and delivering lessons is an added advantage. A core element of the role is coaching learners to become reflective practitioners. The successful candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to motivate and develop others.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Design lesson plans, schemes of work and training resources
  2. Provide outstanding live and online lectures to students
  3. Inspire students to succeed and achieve excellent outcomes.
  4. Deliver revision lectures and prepare students for exams.
  5. Conduct on demand 1-1 support sessions with students.
  6. Provide students with academic and pastoral support to help them achieve their goals.
  7. Take responsibility for the progress and achievement of all students on your course.
  8. Review individual student attendance, progress and achievements.
  9. Review & provide feedback on exam results.

Qualifications & Experience
  1. Experienced tutor teaching AAT at levels 1 2 3 and 4.
  2. Subject specific qualification or proven expertise in subject
  3. Teaching / training experience
  4. Ability to inspire, motivate and raise aspirations of learners through your enthusiasm and knowledge
  5. Good understanding of social and cultural diversity, equality of opportunity and inclusion and safeguarding
  6. Minimum of Level 2 in English and math
  7. A1/V1 assessors award (essential)

Skills & Abilities
  1. Be flexible, self-motivated and approachable with a 'can do' attitude
  2. Have effective organisational skills and be able to plan own workload
  3. Have strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  4. High ethical and professional standards
