Reporting to Club L London' founders, your focus is to ensure that we always have the right stock on hand at the right time and in the right quantity.

You'll use your Merchandising skills to prepare and collate regular feedback to the team regarding current performance and emerging trends in order to maximise sales. You will also be managing the delivery and shipment deadlines, identifying risk to ensure accurate intake of stock according to plan levels and provide weekly updates on intake issues.

You will make the most of any opportunity to increase profitability, suggesting markdowns, promotions and re-buys where appropriate. In addition, you will be responsible for negotiating and buying the inventory Club L needs to delight its customers, taking into account price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. These duties also include researching our Brand's target markets, analysing sales data and building relationships with suppliers, identifying gaps / opportunities in the market and predicting buying trends.

Role Responsibilities:

THE RIGHT STOCK ON HAND AT THE RIGHT TIME - The right stock is products our target audience wants to buy, on hand means they're in stock, ready to ship when the customer needs them.

HUNT CASH & VALUE GENERATION - Planning our annual orders to maximise cash availability.

Own and drive the entire product category; using data to optimise the sales volume and profitability of all designated product areas.

Forward planning and management of budgets by category, option count, and depth of buy based on the overall business and financial goals of the company.

Deliver strategic direction for product ranges and planning processes.

Control stock levels based on weekly sales and stock intakes, ensuring core lines are always in stock.

Review sales forecasts based on performance, and action re forecasts where necessary, providing detailed analysis and insights on category opportunities.

Analyse and monitor best and worst sellers making informed recommendations for actions to achieve key KPIs.

Recommend promotions and re-buys as necessary, providing analytical support in the development of category plans.

Supply internal stakeholders with necessary data to enable informed decisions and planning.

Responsible for management of delivery schedule and ensuring critical path dates are maintained and stock is delivered on time.

Use insight to influence range and merchandising plans at category reviews, working closely with design and senior stakeholders. Agree purchasing plans with the Product Director & Head of FInance

Provide expertise on current Product / Merchandising best practice, within Apparel and Shoe categories;

5+ years' experience in Buying and Merchandising within eCommerce

In-depth experience in an online trade planning role

Strategic mindset with an emphasis on operational excellence

A keen understanding of online customer behaviour

Experience of providing proactive solutions and gaining buy-in from stakeholders

SQL/Querying/BI tool experience

Global experience (USA, Europe)

A strategic thinker, who is confident with managing complicated cross-functional projects and influencing change across senior stakeholders, both internal and external.

Analytical skills and the ability to understand and interpret data

Awareness of current and emerging best practice within merchandising/buying with ability to makes recommendations to the business
