We provide care and support to adults over the age of 18 and pride ourselves in delivering high quality care.

About the role:

Numada Healthcare Limited are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated, proactive and caring deputy manager to join our team, supporting the registered manager with the day to day running of a 47 bedded nursing home in Gosport.

Shifts will vary and could be a combination of the following:

• 08:00am - 20:00pm Monday - Sunday

• 08:00am - 14:00pm Monday - Sunday

• 14:00pm - 20:00pm Monday - Sunday

• 20:00pm - 08:00am Monday - Sunday

You will be required to work alternative weekends.

Responsibilities:

* The successful deputy manager will be responsible for working alongside the registered manager with all aspects of day to day running of the home

* In the absence of the Home Manager, the Deputy will be expected to maintain the general day-to-day running of the Home

* Manage and lead a dedicated team of clinical and non-clinical staff to deliver high quality support

* Establish and maintain effective communication

* Ensure regular planning and reviews are carried out for all individuals supported

* Liaise with external professionals, individuals and families as required to ensure that the needs of the individuals are reviewed regularly

Requirements:

* Knowledgeable of the care sector - Ideally be someone who can demonstrate a successful background as a deputy manager in a care home

* Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks

* Will be nurse qualified, with an active NMC pin

* Experience of safeguarding and complaint investigations

* Experienced in supporting the improvement of services rating

* Proven capacity to manage and motivate a team of staff

* Excellent personal qualities, so we are looking for a caring, kind compassionate and resilient a person who is able to stay calm and professional at all times especially when dealing with emergencies and staffing situations

* Excellent communication skills, having the ability to communicate effectively and coherently, both verbally and in writing

* Be fair but assertive and not afraid to challenge others

* Available to be on the on-call rota

* Able to work alternate weekends

* Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle

Please note: Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and demonstrate a right to work in the UK.
