Our client is looking for an Account Manager to join their ideas-focused consultancy, who are commercially minded with an interest in enhancing brands. In return, you will receive a wealth of experience from industry experts in addition to a competitive benefits package.

Our client is a highly regarded financial PR and communications consultancy based in central London with an emphasis on content creation. You will work alongside professionals of all different experience levels to fully understand each client's unique audience, leading the creation of bespoke and targeted PR campaigns. Your work will support the delivery of highly compelling press coverage and help clients fine-tune their communications strategies and promote their brands. You will need to hit the ground running and be ready to work across different aspects of asset management and financial services PR, sourcing media opportunities, pitching to trade and national journalists and developing strong client relationships.

Principal responsibilities

* Establish strong relationships with clients to become a valued and respected advisor

* Plan and implement effective PR campaigns to deliver value-add compelling coverage

* Become a role model to a team of account executives

* Develop your industry knowledge and skills as a talented PR professional

What you will do

* Develop an understanding of client business and communications objectives

* Oversee delivery across all managed accounts

* Manage, mentor and motivate the account executive team

* Build credible relationships with journalists across a range of publications

* Devise interesting, newsworthy ideas and proactively liaise with journalists

* Assist with business development efforts including participation in written proposals and live pitches

* Create press releases, feature comments, online material and other similar content - with support from an in-house content team

* Proactively learn about wider industry trends and topics

* Display a broad understanding of PR, asset management and financial services and seek opportunities to continue to develop

* Gain the respect and trust of clients, as well as develop client handling skills

Who we are looking for

* Understanding of media relations in the sectors they cover, such as asset management and financial services

* Experience working with clients and key stakeholders

* Experience mentoring/coaching desirable but not required

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills

* Particular attention to detail

* Good team player, working well with others

* Proactive approach to seeking out work

* Contributing to a happy and supportive working environment

* Ability to forge and maintain relationships with colleagues across the business

* Effective time management and the ability to prioritise
