Teaching Assistant - South Bristol

Prospero are looking for someone with experience to work closely with a child with Special Educational Needs. The opportunity is full-time and long-term and will be supporting the child on an ongoing basis following completion of a successful trial period at the school.

For this position as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to provide 1:1 support to a student and provide general support to other students in the classroom where necessary. The successful applicant will have considerable experience working 1:1 with people with special educational needs and challenging behaviour and will have ideally hold relevant SEND qualifications and training.

The position is open to graduates, experienced LSA'S and applicants with relevant experience.

You must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one to be considered for this position.

Minimum rate of pay: £75 - £85 per day
Hours: 8:30 am - 15:30pm (full day)Experience, training and qualification:

Ability to think quickly & without supervision
Confident when working with small groups or 1 to 1
Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment
Driven to motivate the pupil and increase their participation
Be caring, patient and have good communication skills
Calming mannerisms in challenging situations
The ability to grow individual personal development
Willing to complete Safeguarding online training
Complete a face-to-face registration, currently being done remotely on Zoom

To Be Eligible For This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional references
