We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Service Manager for Children's Complex Care. This role will be for 2 months initially, though could extend and is expected to be based mainly onsite.

This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at c£260 per day.

Key responsibilities will include:

Directly deliver effective management and performance across Children's Complex Care Services;
Responsible for management and leadership across a multi-disciplinary team an including full operational leadership for Nursing Services;
Responsibility for operational budgetary management for a delegated budget;
Accountable for activity and other data collection, working with respective clinical leads;
Ensure reasons for under and over activity is reported and action plans prepared accordingly;
Represent the service at a divisional level or at a corporate level as and when requested;
Support and develop cross agency working in the statutory and voluntary sector and to work in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

Educated to Master's degree level or equivalent experience;
Significant experience working at a management level within an Acute NHS setting at Band 8a level minimum;
Experience of and exposure to performance setting and monitoring;
Experience and in depth knowledge of staff management;
Can demonstrate effective management of conflict;
Can demonstrate working across professional and multi-agency boundaries.
