Interim Financial Accountant

Location: Solihull Region: West Midlands Country: United Kingdom Contract Type: 6 month contractSchedule Type: Full Time, HybridDay Rate: £250 to £350

We have partnered with a great client, who is a leader in their current field and has a global reach, to help find an Interim Financial Accountant that will not only support the current finance team but also help improve the current process, leaving a lasting impact. In return, you are given a competitive day rate for this 6 month contract and the ability to work from home 3 days a week.

As an Interim Financial Accountant, you will lead and control the production of financial data and returns to comply with regulatory requirements and the internal reporting schedule. You will also provide technical financial insight to help guide our decision making and to safeguard our assets.

Duties include: * Coordinate and control the production of accurate management and statutory accounts to meet regulatory and corporate governance requirements * Advise on financial controls, process improvements and best practice * Plan for regulatory change and business developments to ensure controls remain effective * Lead the resolution of queries, issues and discrepancies * Build relationships with regulatory bodies, auditors and all levels of internal business stakeholders

You will have the right mix of technical expertise, relationship building and project management to deliver results within the financial reporting area. You will also be a strong communicator, with excellent time-management skills, with a focus on best practices.

You will also have: * Knowledge of accountancy principles and practices, management accounts, and regulatory/statutory requirements * Ideally you will have Insurance/Financial Services industry awareness * Experience producing complex financial reports and insights * Experience using Microsoft packages (especially Excel) and financial systems * The ability to explain complex financial information in written and verbal form to financial and non-financial audiences * Strong attention to detail and accuracy
