We're looking for a Full-time Business Finance Manager (6-12 month mat cover) to join a growing Finance team. Your new companyYour new company is one of the largest providers of specialist behavioural and mental health services for children and young adults in the UK within Education Services, Residential Care Services and Fostering Services. The dedicated team recognise this success and want to offer this opportunity to a wider range of young people and adults as part the ongoing developments that are taking place across all areas of the provision.Your new roleThe Business Finance Manager post carries the overall responsibility for the management of the day to day processing of site finances and oversight of domestic, catering and household services provided by our establishment. The business manager/finance manager is responsible for handling the financial transactions of an organisation, analysing financial reports, and monitor investment activities. The role requires the use of initiative and the ability to directly manage and support the team of core staff to ensure a safe, healthy, clean and comfortable living environment for students and staff. You will manage all issues relating to general household practices and associated services related to welfare of the students. The role includes responsibility for managing delegated budgets and resources. It also involves contributing to development plans aimed at bringing about continual improvement in these areas. What you'll need to succeed
  • Act as a as a senior professional in the core team
  • Have a polite and friendly approach
  • Ability to build positive, professional relationships
  • Experience of staff management.
  • Experience of working effectively in a catering, hospitality and/or residential support service environment
  • Experience of managing finances/budgets competently
  • Solid IT Skills (Predominantly Excel)
  • Experience of developing the practice of staff by providing effective on-the-job coaching and/or good quality training
  • Experience of managing Education finance's (Desirable)
