MBA are proud to partner one of West Yorkshire's most innovative technology organisations in their search for an experienced IT Laptop Build Technician on a contract basis. You will be based on client site - LeedsWe are looking for a competent build technician to provide fast and basic upgrades to a number of laptops. The successful candidate be responsible for updating colleagues devices and reporting back to the IT Service Delivery Manager managing the initiative.This role requires good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand requirements to none technical colleagues. They must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with customers. The successful applicant will be working within a dedicated IT service team.IT Laptop Build Technician - Key ResponsibilitiesWorking directly for a Service Delivery manager as part of a wider team, responsible for dealing with all builds, ensuring data is managed during upgrades and any issues highlighted during testing with colleagues are resolved or assigned to other team members.* Act as a point of contact for colleagues who have had their devices scheduled for an update.* Re-build laptops to the latest build version using Microsoft's In-Tune.* Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems across a range of software applications.* Update the knowledgebase with known issues or workarounds.* Identify enhancements to processes for continued Service Improvement.* Maintain a high degree of customer service for all queries and adhere to all service management principles.* Adhere to all IT Security policies and procedures to ensure ISO 27001 procedures are maintained.IT Laptop Build Technician - Skills / Person* An experienced deskside support technician* The candidate must have a strong customer service ethic and a can do attitude. Experienced in an IT service environment and has the ability to display excellent communication, patience and empathetic skills to the end user at all levels.* You will be quick to understand the nature and impact of issues that may occur and follow guidelines and technical guidance.* You will show a commitment and flexibility to do whenever it needs doing to get a positive outcome.* Pays attention to detail and has a passion to build a career in IT.REQUIRED SKILLS:* Excellent customer service.* Previous build experience, preferably using In-Tune.* Demonstrate a strong desire to work in a team environment, share knowledge and help facilitate the sharing of knowledge between peers.* A strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Office 2016/365* Hardware: Laptops, Printers and Mobile Devices.DESIRABLE:* ITIL Foundation Certificate.* Remedy Service Desk.* Microsoft Certification.* Microsoft In-TuneIT Laptop Build Technician - Experience Day Rate: £200 / £212.50 per dayInside IR35Office based: LeedsContract length: 6 months +For an informal discussion please apply below:
