Financial Controller - PE Backed Advertising Business

£70,000 + package and bonus

Based - Central London (Zone 1)

A successful international advertising agency based in Central London (hybrid working) is recruiting a Financial Controller. The role is being recruited on a permanent basis but candidates interested on a contract or contract to permanent basis.

The agency is part of a wider group and you will be supporting the Group Finance Director and CFO with their vision of improving the Finance function and successfully establishing best in class processes and systems. You will lead a small team to embed new processes and systems and drive commercial performance.

Specifically you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring strong and robust financial controls and compliance, policies, and procedure; delivery of annual audit process and the preparation of the group financial statements; participating in ad hoc client audits; owning Group reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting; VAT and Tax management; and owning all things transactional finance - specifically this will ensure timely collection and pass through of cash with a specific focus on establishing best in class working capital and cash flow management. You will mentor and develop a capable Accounts Assistant.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with the ability and willingness to get involved in the detail. You will have previous experience as a financial controller, exposure to AP/AR, and excellent technical skills. Understanding a media or advertising environment would be advantageous.
