Faculty / Directorate

Home to four specialist schools - Allied Health Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery, and Leicester School of Pharmacy - the Faculty educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to lives, health, wellbeing, communities and society. Our dedicated state of the art clinical skills facilities include patient simulators and advanced audio visual (AV) recording systems and are designed to replicate current clinical practice, representing a substantial investment by the university in the training of healthcare professionals.


Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the clinical and practice areas, and to provide assistance as appropriate in associated areas.

An exciting role, providing technical support for the teaching of healthcare professionals. It utilises advanced simulation software and technology to promote quality patient care, supporting the delivery of clinical skills training designed to simulate real clinical scenarios. This gives our students the opportunity to develop their practical clinical skills in a safe, nurturing, environment.

This is a part time (18.5 hours per week), permanent position. Flexible working requests, including term-time only, will be considered.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated and organised team player with good communication and IT skills. An interest in healthcare or experience within a healthcare setting would be beneficial. Knowledge or experience in the use of medical simulation equipment and AV systems would be an advantage although full training will be provided. A proactive approach to learning new skills is a must.

You should possess a minimum of a HND or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate practice based experience in a relevant field. You will have good knowledge/understanding of Health and Safety and GDPR issues within a learning environment.
