Are you a Suppport Worker looking to make the move into working in schools but don't know where to start? Perhaps you are currently in a school-based role but are looking for that next step in your career? Then AK Teaching would love to hear from you!

AK Teaching are looking to recruit Support Workers for our partner schools in the Bishop Auckland area of County Durham. The role is full-time, commencing in September and primarily involves working with learners who have autism.

The school, based in Bishop Auckland, is easily accessible by public transport and have a very friendly and welcoming team. Working hours would be from 8.30am until approximately 4:00pm.

The ideal Support Worker will have previous professional experience working closely with individuals with autism or learning difficulties. You should be outgoing and confident, with a caring outlook and a passion for giving the students you are supporting the best possible opportunity to achieve their potential.

As with all of our candidates, the successful Support Worker must either possess a DBS certificate, ideally on the update service, or be willing to apply for one (AK Teaching can provide full assistance to achieve this). As part of our commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of young people, we would also have to obtain satisfactory references covering the last 2 years of employment.

If this sounds like the perfect next step, or you have been seriously considering a role as a Support Worker, and require more information, apply for the role on the link provided and we will happily get in touch to discuss this fantastic opportunity.

We look forward to hearing from you.
