Our client was established over 20 years ago and is now one of the largest private owners of residential property in the United Kingdom, being managed by a small team of c.50 with a finance team of team of 10.
This newly created Senior Financial Analyst role is part of new best-in-class, commercially focussed team reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance & Planning. It operates in a 'can-do' environment and encompasses forecasting, budgeting, investment appraisals, scenario analysis and other ad hoc projects for Group senior management and investment partners.

It operates in a 'can-do' environment and encompasses forecasting, budgeting, investment appraisals, scenario analysis and other ad hoc projects for Group senior management and investment partners.
Role Description
Annual budget, in year analysis and reforecast:
- The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the annual Group budget presentations and supporting financial model
- Delivering in year reforecasts and analysis of cash and P&L variances
- Forecasting of the Group overhead spend
- Working in conjunction with the wider finance team to prepare monthly finance packs and month/quarterly reporting to Exec team and the parent company
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Annual and ad hoc update of 5-year plan to include cash flow, P&L and Balance sheet, KPI outputs and debt metrics
- Running additional scenario and sensitivity analysis as required
Investment Appraisal:
- Assisting with project appraisal cash flows and scenario analysis prior to presentation to investment committee
- Monthly project reporting and variances vs. underwrites
- Post investment review and analysis
Annual Valuation (CBRE)
- Provision of base data and other underlying data required to prepare the annual valuation
Development of Reporting Capabilities:
- Working in conjunction with the wider Finance and IT teams to enhance reporting capabilities for rental, project and group reporting including use of BI
Corporate Finance & Project Support:
- Ad-hoc analysis and presentations support (e.g. periodic strategy and business update presentations to the parent company, deep dive analysis)
- Assisting with the preparation of due diligence and other related materials in connection with any capital events
- Utilities provisions analysis and reporting
- Historical business performance analysis
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience:
- Fully qualified UK accountant or similar qualifications (e.g. ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CFA) with an excellent academic profile
- Candidates with both a Big 4 training and minimum 1 year's post-qualification industry experience in a similar role or CIMA/ACCA/CFA newly qualified upwards will be considered
- Strong Excel financial modelling skills are required, and Power BI experience an advantage
- Able to work with large volumes of data
- Real Estate (or related) experience strongly preferred
