As an assistant merchandiser, you will monitor and analyse sales records and economic conditions to predict buying patterns and monitor inventory. You will also manage the selection of own brands for all full price and factory outlets stores the UK.

Description
- Develop the merchandising strategy in conjunction with the company strategy
- Monitor daily and weekly sales performance using reports, and propose necessary action to improve sales performance
- Create a range plan, factoring in historical data and future market trends
- Produce and present trade reports and the appropriate sales, product, and stock actions
- Ensure full availability of both core and seasonal stock for both full price and factory outlet stores, whilst maintaining the right level of newness within the ranges
- Analysis of profit vs. space by individual product and range.
- Provide support to merchandisers and gain sign off to implement recommended changes.
- Suggest markdown and promotional activity, whilst owning the promotional calendar
- Ensure optimum availability across all brands and stores to maximise sales
- Oversee the weekly ordering process whilst simplifying it
- Liaise with the visual merchandiser to determine optimum stock levels and ranging decisions to maximise the visual appeal of the products within each store
Profile
- Previously experience as an Allocator/ Merchandising Admin Assistant
- Factory Outlet experience is desired, but not essential
- Experience at working with multiple product areas with high SKU bases
- Experience in devising and executing merchandising strategies
- Excel to an intermediate/advanced standard (demonstrable skills for v-lookups, filters, pivot tables, etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP and Business Objects or similar systems highly beneficial
- Ability to produce range plans with a highly commercial mindset
- Capable of working to deadlines and calm under pressure
- Must be willing to work 5 day in the office with occasional flexibility to work from home at line manager's discretion
