Prospero Teaching are looking for a SEND Teacher for a Secondary School in Chessington. This is a full-time or Part Time role Monday to Friday, to start September on an ongoing basis.

As a SEND teacher you will need to be passionate about SEND students and have proven record for achieving outcomes for your students. The ideal SEND teacher loves principles and the practice of inclusion and recognition of impacting the students in high quality delivery of lessons in the right environment and with the right strategies.

Some responsibilities of the SEND Teacher
  • As a SEND teacher you would be responsible for "creating a positive and nurturing environment within a small class setting"
  • "Plan, prepare and teach programmes of study and lessons that link student's current academic levels to our school mainstream curriculum"
  • "To support transfer from smaller settings to larger mainstream classrooms, at appropriate times and in line with student's progress"

SEND Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • It is desired that you SEN experience or training
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero
  • Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
  • Strong behaviour management skills are a must.

  • Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service
