I am now working exclusively with a large manufacturing organisation based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire who are now looking to recruit a new Electrical Maintenance Engineer. This position will be working Monday to Friday, Days & Afternoons and is a Permanent, Full Time Position. My client is looking for Electrical or Multi-skilled engineers with Manufacturing or FMCG experience is required.

Located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire my client is a fast paced, manufacturing business (None Food) who supply products across the UK. They have recently gone through machinery upgrades, and new installations and now require additional, permanent engineers to join the current maintenance team. As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will report into the Maintenance Manager where you will be working within a team of Electrical and Mechanical engineers responsible for the repairs and upkeep of all on site manufacturing machinery. You will be working Monday to Friday shifts, which include mornings and afternoons based at the South Yorkshire factory.

Duties Include:
  • Mechanical or Electrical repairs to PLC controlled machinery.
  • Mechanical or Electrical installations for all new plant equipment including upgrades.
  • Preventative maintenance and PPM implementation across the site.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement activities, recommending and implementing change.
  • Analysis of downtime and developing solutions to improve production.


To apply for this Electrical Maintenance Engineer position you will be Electrical or Multi-Skilled and open to working shifts, Monday to Friday. This position will be based at the Barnsley site and no travel will be required. The business is currently going through a strong period of growth due to an increase in product demand and company investment.
  • Qualified within Mechanical or Electrical from Manufacturing and Production.
  • Experienced within Manufacturing or Production or FMCG Environments.
  • Run or been involved in Machinery Upgrades projects or installations.
  • Driven and Self Motivated.
  • Flexible to work shifts, Monday to Friday.

Job Offer

Salary for this role is circa £30,000 to £40,000 with additional company benefits on top. You will be working Monday to Friday, Days & Afternoons in a Permanent, Full Time Position.
