This is an exciting opportunity for a highly capable individual with experience of managing projects to join the Technology Department at Carnival UK and help deliver even better holidays for customers of our leading travel brands. You'll be passionate about shaping, mobilising governing and managing projects and will have the opportunity to work with some of our most senior stakeholders and colleagues.

The Role

We are currently recruiting a Junior Project Manager to join the Technology Project & Programme Delivery team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and professional individual to come aboard and join a team of supportive experts at a particularly exciting time.In this role you will be responsible for tracking and managing change initiatives in the Technology Portfolio. You will be required to define activities and events to be completed during the project to appropriate level of detail and identify dependencies between activities and events.

Preparing and documenting a schedule for each initiative with a clear critical path ensure that all stakeholders are kept up to date at all times., whilst monitoring progress and update plans as appropriate, communicating any changes to the Portfolio Delivery Leadership team and the PMO. You will be required to Identify the resources required to deliver the initiatives and work with the relevant teams to secure them along with obtaining estimates for the cost of delivering each initiative and agree a budget. About YouWe are looking for someone with experience of managing and or working with end to end projects that include an IT component.

You should also be familiar with industry standard project and management techniques and their pragmatic application to deliver small projects.

It is essential that you have strong communication and relationship building abilities in order to balance diplomacy with assertiveness and be able to work collaboratively at all levels. You will be very good at prioritising competing demands and pride yourself on being a reliable member of the team. You will also be comfortable working in a technical environment.

If this role requires you to visit and/or work on a Carnival UK ship, the successful candidate needs to be fully vaccinated (with a WHO or MHRA approved two-dose COVID-19 vaccination course or single-dose Janssen COVID-19 vaccine), including any relevant booster vaccinations. This is to maintain a safe environment onboard and reduce the risk of outbreaks, to protect our crew and our Guests. It's also required for ships to dock and enjoy shoreside visits in many Ports of Call on global itineraries. This requirement will be under regular review.

As part of our Shared Service function, our Technology teams enable us to take our guests all over the world on our ships as well as supporting our colleagues at Carnival House and other locations globally. This encompasses everything from the design and build of new ships, to guests booking their holidays through our websites and contact centre, to ensuring that on-board applications and underlying infrastructure enable a fantastic guest experience and everything in between.
