Role: Head of Technical Security
Salary: Up to £90,000 Plus Excellent Bonus & Benefits
Location: Remote working/home based
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the Head of Technical Security holds day to day responsibility for all aspects of Technical Information Security for my client & their customers.In collaboration with the Chief Information Security Officer you will drive the IT security strategy and implementation forward whilst at all times proactively protecting the business from security threats and other cyber-related activity.
You will be a Senior Technical Security leader who will be ready to play a key role in designing, enabling and delivering the Cyber Security Vision and Strategy within the company.You will be able to tackle complex security issues within technically challenging environments and lead a dynamic team of hardworking and enthusiastic technical specialists across the cyber security domain while providing mentoring and professional development to enhance their expertise and core skills
Main duties and responsibilities:
·In collaboration with the CISO develop and implement technical security strategies across the business.
·Lead a team of technical security subject matter experts.
·Own the design, planning and delivery of technical security solutions across the organisation.
·Represent the business at key internal and external stakeholder / community meetings and other forums where appropriate.
·Cooperatively establish business processes and policies as well as metrics and indicators of success.
·Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic and technical goals.
·Supervise, monitor & report on the implementation, configuration and handover of all technical security projects.
·Lead the request for proposal, bid, procurement, design, installation, configuration, commissioning and maintenance of IT security systems throughout the business.
·Continuously review existing systems and practices to provide operational effectiveness, ensuring this is compatible with the culture and business of the organisation.
·Establish & develop technical security standards that foster realizable practices, policies and procedures to ensure quality and operational effectiveness.
·Lead efforts in the evaluation of existing and new security solutions.
·Form business partnerships that help drive the goals & objectives of the business, as well as the IT security strategy, forward.
·Provide recommendations for technical security solutions, vendors and integrators based on standards and requirements.
·Lead technical security vendor and integrator relationships to aid in addressing the organisation's goals and objectives.
·Be a part of the Major Incident Management process and, where appropriate, guide or lead investigations after breaches or incidents.
·Lead the development & delivery of the overall IT Security roadmap.
