CE&I Technician required for our global client based in Wolverhampton. This role would suit an electrical engineer with knowledge of Siemens S7 who is keen to technically develop and progress their career.
This is a great opportunity for a CE&I engineer who wants to become a specialist within a state-of-the-art COMAH site.
We are currently looking to recruit a CE&I Technician who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration and testing of all Electrical, instrument and control systems across the site. Health, safety and environmental compliance is an important aspect of this position together with contributing to continuous improvement in productivity.
You will work in accordance with site standards, procedures and legislation and keep up-to-date with current requirements by participating in internal and external training.
Main duties for this role include:
Support site maintenance of plant Control systems which are typically DCS or local controllers, both of which require knowledge of control loops and control logic.
Possess a technical understanding of Interlocks, alarms and safety systems to be able to follow detailed Testing procedures.
Detailed knowledge of flow, temperature, pressure and control valve instrumentation principles.
Working within the Maintenance function, but must also be able to support modifications and projects within that discipline.
Installation and maintenance of Electrical installations in hazardous areas.
Work in accordance with site standards, procedures and legislation and keep up-to-date with current requirements by participating in internal and external training.
Member of an out of hours callout rota Be located within a 60-minute radius for callout response.
Approved Electrician with Industrial experience.
IEE Wiring Regulations to current edition High Voltage Awareness (beneficial but not essential) Electrical Inspection and Testing certificate Installation, Inspection and Maintenance of Hazardous area equipment CompEx 1 to 4 Competent ability working with IT systems.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure and Installation and CCTV DCS, PLC and control system Experience (Siemens) Knowledge of Industrial Communication protocols, Industrial Ethernet, Asi, Profibus and Hart Instrumentation Installation, maintenance, test, calibration and Commissioning.
Process Safety Awareness specifically Alarms, Interlocks and Safety Integrity Levels.
Competent in Risk assessment, procedures and permitry Basic Chemical Awareness Experience with mechanical engineering principles Awareness of Gas fired heaters.
Experience operating Fork lift trucks and Mobile Access equipment.
Monday to Friday - Days -36.5hrs per week.
Some weekend working is required during plant shutdown outages
Call-out disturbance payment for being on 1 in 4 rota.
Overtime paid at a rate of x 1.6 Basic
Salary guide £37k to £45k D.O.E
