Role - Deputy manager

- Locations - Lea Hall Birmingham (B33)
- Salary - Up to £26,000 per year
The Deputy Manager will provide assistance to the Registered Manager in all aspects of running the home - delivering and promoting high quality care using a person centred approach.
The Deputy Care Home Manager will ensure that all regulatory and contractual standards are met and exceeded, whilst ensuring that Dignus Healthcare is appropriately represented. The successful candidate will work effectively with key local service providers, including local CCG and council departments. They will be responsible for ensuring good communication channels are established and maintained to facilitate new referrals and joint working.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements:
· A minimum of 2 years experience within a Health and Social Care setting is essential
· Possess the following skills and qualities:
* Be compassionate, empathetic and approachable
*An excellent team player with strong communication skills
*Be able to handle challenging situations & work under pressure with professionalism and ease
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to motivate and encourage others
* Good ICT and administration skills
· Previous leadership experience within a health/social care setting would be advantageous but not essential
· Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health/Social Care
· Have a min GCSE Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the needs of service users are met at all times, providing opportunities for service users to enhance their quality of life, whilst maintaining independence, and dignity at all times
- Responsible for the running of the day to day running of the service in the absence of the Registered Manager
- Supporting the manager with the management of staff including team meetings and supervisions, assist with inducting new members of staff. support both new and existing staff with eLearning
- Develop, safe, person centred support within services with focus on promoting positive culture and reducing restrictive interventions
- Monitor and manage employee/team performance - ensuring that quality and legislative standards are upheld at all times
- Produce staff rotas, approve and track annual leave/ annual leave requests ensuring that the service is adequately staffed at all times.
- Adopt a proactive approach to achieving a positive, engaging and relationship building role(s) with Service Users, Families and Local Authorities/ CCG.
