Our client is looking to add a Director of Risk and Governance to their senior leadership team to oversee and further develop the risk management and compliance policy framework, including accountability for the oversight and management of principal regulatory risks in their business.This is a true 360 degree risk role encompassing:* Exercising full scope 2nd line oversight across the division;* Acting as a risk and compliance technical lead for business change initiatives and complex scenarios requiring professional judgement;* Development of a financial crime framework in the areas of sanctions, proceeds of crime SAR reporting and anti-bribery and corruption.* Oversight of the development and evolution of policy, monitoring and risk frameworks* Working with your peers in senior management to assess brand level engagement with key risks and performance against divisional and the groups risk appetite.* Engaging with your with the wider group on improving alignment to the groups risk appetite and strategic business objectives. We're looking to speak to Risk Professionals with 10 years of experience in risk or compliance roles.As an experienced risk professional you'll be able to demonstrate that you can proactively stay abreast of all relevant legislation and governance requirements and lead the business in planning processes in areas of regulatory change. You'll also be able to show how you have led responses to high risk customer complaints and policy breaches across areas of regulation to minimise the reputational and commercial risks to the business. More widely you'll be able to demonstrate sound business acumen and an understanding of operational priorities to ensure that your team is aligned to the right areas of the operation and their priorities. Our client is offering a competitive package, which will be tailored for the right candidate, with a base salary of circa £110,000.
