This forward-thinking, social welfare charity are currently seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic, collaborative team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Financial Planning, you will be responsible for leading a team of two to drive the delivery of a first-class business partnering service to aid decision making and progress of the charity in line with their strategic plan.

The key duties of this Senior Finance Business Partner role are as follows:
  • Establish strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across your division to provide advice and drive financial performance, challenging assumptions where appropriate.
  • Support your budget holders in the development of their annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Develop management reporting packs on a monthly basis with supporting commentaries.
  • Take the lead on the production of financial analysis to make recommendations to inform strategic decision making and ensure value for money.
  • Manage a small team of highly capable, proactive finance professionals, providing training and giving them opportunities to progress professionally.
  • Ensure all month-end procedures are delivered in a timely fashion, including managing journal and reconciliation preparation.
  • Work closely with the Head of Financial Planning in the development of more robust and efficient reporting processes and procedures.
  • Play a critical role in the review of bids for new funding, ensuring all of the finances have been accurately captured.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Achieved their full accountancy qualification.
  • Experience working in a Finance Business Partner role of a senior capacity.
  • A background working in the charity sector, but candidates without are still encouraged to apply.
  • Experience managing a small team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
