Harnham is working exclusively with a leading online brand who are looking to add a Junior Data Scientist to their data science and machine learning team in Leeds.

The role will see you utilising your skills in Python and machine learning to solve various complex data science projects across the business.

At this company you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge big data technologies, as well as work with and learn from several experienced team members.

Projects will include: business forecasting, automation/optimisation, pricing, customer behaviour analysis and marketing.

The Role - Junior Data Scientist

You will be:

• Working closely within a team of 10 Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to influence the direction of the company through actionable data-driven insight
• Applying statistical/machine learning techniques to recognise key trends within vast sets of data
• Driving business decisions with your recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Delivering high-impact models to deployment

Experience - Junior Data Scientist

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in: Statistics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.
• Experience using Python and SQL.
• Experience statistical/machine learning models
• A keen interest in using data science to solve commercial problems
• A strong focus on learning and development
