WHAT'S THE ROLE?

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be offering onsite technical support and managing local IT demands for Hilti end users, based in Great Britain and Ireland. Your primary responsibilities are IT equipment setup for new and existing employees, mobile phone administration and desktop/laptop break-fix repairs.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

As mentioned, the IT Support Specialist plays a key role in making sure our technology works as it should to ensure the business can run effectively. Day to day responsibilities will include:IT hardware/software implementationsSetup of IT equipment for new starters and transfers within the businessFollow up and retrieve IT equipment from people leaving the businessInstallation of operating system and applications on PC'sConfigure users with Cisco telephonyAdminister SAP and Windows password resetsAdminister Microsoft users using Active Directory and Software distribution toolsUse of Service Now helpdesk system to log all incidents/requestsWork closely and proactively engage with colleagues to ensure SLA's are met

WHAT YOU NEED IS:

Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office, PC hardware/software / tools, network troubleshooting (LAN and TCP / IP), and IT hardwareStrong PC, laptop, tablet and hardware support experienceA solid track record in a support role including experience in customer support and stakeholder and management is idealStrong coaching skills. Able to produce user guides, share IT knowledge with colleagues, improve the user experience for allHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure
