Walker and Sloan are proud to be working with a well known marketing agency situated in Bristol. They are looking to bring on an experienced digital professional to help drive the digital strategy for the agency. This is a very exciting role that offers a very strong salary and benefits package along with a flexi/remote working pattern.

The Role:

To create integrated brand campaigns including innovative digital solutions - websites, progressive web applications, traditional apps, digital sales aids, AR and VR experiences, paid ads, organic social and email communications.

You'll be working across a range of clients and brands from the big established name pharmaceutical brands, to smaller, but no less important, challenger brands. Either way you'll be nurturing healthcare brands digitally to help them grow to become the blockbusters of the future.

To do that you'll have a passion for all things digital and have demonstrable experience leading teams of digital specialists to produce innovative and engaging digital experiences. You'll have the ability to raise the bar, raising our digital profile in the process with award winning work.

You'll be a leader and an excellent communicator, well versed in digital know-how and good at collaborating with others. You'll relish a challenge.

You'll have worked on a diverse portfolio of projects within a strategic digital role, with strong technical knowledge of online software and tools for marketing (i.e., CMS / Automation / CRM), SEO, paid and social media, and experience with online comms strategy, multi-channel marketing and web analytics.

You'll be analytical and look for insight to drive strategic and tactical decisions as well as drive the best user experience for users of sites, applications, and digital media.

Desirable skills:
  • You'll have at least 6 years' experience in in-house or agency B2B/B2C marketing with at least two of those years in leadership roles
  • Experience working on healthcare brands for pharmaceutical companies
  • A degree in business, marketing/advertising, or technology
  • Strong project management and process improvement skills with a project management certification (e.g CPM, CSM, CPMP, PRINCE2 Foundation/PRINCE2 Practitioner). A solid understanding of project management tools such as MS Project, TeamGantt, Jira, Trello or similar
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing teams of digital project managers, developers and other digital specialists with multiple current direct line reports
  • A comprehensive understanding of marketing planning, product marketing, marketing communications, social media, paid media management, website and content development, and budget management, as well as the knowledge of the processes and tools necessary to support these activities
  • Excellent business awareness and the ability to focus on setting and meeting demanding targets. Highly aware of the technology space and how future trends can be incorporated into Swordfish's offering
  • Experience in managing websites to support marketing campaigns with hands on experience with Drupal, WordPress, Umbraco or other comparable CMS platforms. Rudimentary knowledge of HTML and/or coding standards would be useful
  • CRM experience with platforms such as Veeva and/or IQVA's OCE marketing
  • Experience with email broadcast and marketing automation platforms such as Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor in addition to an understand of email deliverability concepts and tools such as Email-on-Acid/Litmus
  • Knowledge of technical and non-technical SEO concepts as well as understanding of the related tools
  • Experience managing hosting infrastructure with the likes of AWS and RackSpace
  • You'll help agree KPIs for digital activity with clients capturing agreed metrics in tools such as Google Analytics, Countly, Adobe Campaign and producing reports with data visualisation tools such as Google Data Studio.
  • You'll be up to speed on Privacy legislation (including GDPR) and data security concepts
  • You'll have experience of Google Campaign manager
