Head of Data and InsightThames Valley Air Ambulance (TVAA) was founded 22 years ago, as a charity providing emergency medical services by air and land to patients within the counties of Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire. We work in partnership with the NHS (South Central Ambulance Service) to deliver our service. In 2018 TVAA became a registered independent healthcare provider, no longer providing the helicopter and cars, but also directly employing the doctors and paramedics, and fully responsible for our clinical governance. In March 2020, we received an "Outstanding" rating by the CQC. Demand for the service has grown from 1,233 callouts in 2018 to 4,246 from October 2020 to March 2022The roleThis role will drive the database team through a period of new strategic vision for TVAA. Leading a team of three, you will be responsible for developing a strong work ethic and vision, to ensure the data team are able to provide all data requirements, insight and analysis that will enable growth through our fundraising supporter strategies.The successful candidate will continue to manage and deliver existing processes and workflows in our existing database, making interim improvements where feasible and reviewing the capability of the CRM. You will work collaboratively with colleagues in departments across TVAA, with responsibility for providing insight, as the organisation develops its overall data and analytical capabilities and ensuring it complements and supports activity elsewhere in the organisation.About youAs a key member of the Fundraising Team, the Head of Data and Insight will play a major role in managing the data team and the database (Advantage SQL) to support all fundraising activity ensuring accurate data export requests are delivered and driving strong insight. You will continuously improve the way that TVAA collects, interprets and uses data by utilising your SQL knowledge to write complex queries and to produce data insights for the fundraising teams to continuously improve fundraising marketing activities.We have achieved significant growth over the last five years, largely through individual giving, legacies, major gifts, and some in memoriam giving.
